The Sacrament of Baptism

Parents who wish to have their children baptised are asked to contact the parish at least two months in advance.
Parents and godparents are required to attend a Baptism Preparation Class.

Bring completed forms to the parish office.

The Sacrament of the Eucharist (Holy Communion)

“The holy Eucharist completes Christian initiation … the source and summit of the Christian life.”
(Catechism 1322–1324)

Children preparing for First Holy Communion are invited to register through the parish office each fall.
Preparation programs begin early in the year and culminate with the celebration of the sacrament during the Easter season.

The Sacrament of Confirmation

By Confirmation, the baptized are “enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit … as true witnesses of Christ” (Catechism 1285).

Confirmation is typically celebrated annually with His Excellency Bishop Gerard Bergie.
Preparation meetings are announced in the parish bulletin and open to all eligible students.

The Sacrament of Matrimony (Marriage)

“The matrimonial covenant … has been raised by Christ the Lord to the dignity of a sacrament.” (Catechism 1601)

Couples planning marriage must contact the parish one year in advance.
Participation in Pre-Marriage Classes is required.

The Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession)

“The faithful are bound by an obligation faithfully to confess serious sins at least once a year.” (Catechism 1457)

Confessions at St. Mary’s are heard:

  • Saturdays at 4:15 PM, or
  • By appointment with the pastor.

The Anointing of the Sick

“The Lord Jesus Christ … has willed that his Church continue … his work of healing and salvation.” (Catechism 1421)

The Sacrament of the Sick is available to those:

  • Preparing for surgery,
  • Suffering serious illness, or
  • In need of spiritual and physical strength.

Hospitalized or home-bound parishioners who wish to receive Communion or a priestly visit are encouraged to call the parish office.
